This is a mockup for a System Info gadget that I've been working on since Monday.

Personally I have no idea where I should start creating such a gadget. Which is why I wanted to ask if anybody would like to help me making this mockup into a working gadget.

It's intended to be a gadget for the Windows Sidebar. I have no reason to keep supporting XP if I'm using Windows 7 myself.

I'm sorry, no one applied to code this mockup into a working Sidebar Gadget unfortunately.

Hi,

Windows sidebar is resource consuming. I'd go for rainmeter (which I use on 7). It's easier, lighter and would run on all win versions.

The Sidebar uses only 40 MB with 6 gadgets active. That's not really resource consuming these days :P Also, I've never intended to make it for all versions of Windows.

I'll look into Rainmeter though.

The advantage of rainmeter is also that it is very easy to make a skin. Just look at some examples provided with the app and you get it :)
I understand that you don't want to use third party software to avoid additional installs... but xp users won't be able to use it.
It's up to you ;)

Well you see, I can't really support an OS that I'm not using myself. Therefor I still rather see this made for the Windows Vista/7 Sidebar then for Rainmeter.

I never said I planned to make this for XP :P It's intended to be made for the Sidebar Gadget, so no idea why everyone talking about XP here :P

Very nice, but what about XP users? Would you be willing to make a rainmeter version for those of us who prefer XP?
